The Story
Meg Johnson has spent her career in rooms where words matter — courtrooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and conference halls. As a trial lawyer with decades of experience, she has learned to communicate with juries, witnesses, executives, and people under extraordinary pressure. That work taught her something she now teaches others: how you frame an experience determines what you can do with it.
Her doctoral research focuses on business ethics and conscious leadership — the intersection of organizational culture, human behavior, and the choices leaders make when no one is watching. That research informs everything she does, from keynote stages to executive consulting rooms.
The POWER PLAY Method™ was born from Meg's own experience navigating unexpected turns — and from years of watching others do the same. She became fascinated by the people who didn't just survive disruption, but somehow used it. Not by pretending it didn't hurt. Not by toxic positivity. But by asking a different question: What can I do with this?
That question has roots in Rumi's philosophy — the idea that what we perceive as obstacles may actually be invitations. Meg weaves that thread through her work, not as abstract poetry, but as a practical framework for decision-making, leadership, and intentional living.
The Philosophy
Life gives you the play. What you do with it is your power.
The POWER PLAY Method™ is not a recovery program. It is not a resilience hack. It is a framework for people who want to live and lead with intention — who are willing to look at what life has handed them and ask not just why, but what now. It draws on Rumi, on leadership research, on behavioral science, and on the very human experience of standing at a crossroads and choosing.
Beyond the Work
The person behind the method.
When Meg is not on stage or in a consulting room, she is most likely outdoors — on horseback, at a stock show, at a hockey rink with her son... or somewhere else that reminds her that the best lessons rarely come from a classroom. She believes deeply in the value of showing up fully, in every room, in every role.
